No, you have to animate it.

set it to explodable... at least it won't vanish.

FPSC has a model breaking system in it... there must be a way to use that to your advantage.

why not try the destroycrumble.fpi script, set the health to something like 50-75. works for me if I am not mistaking.

Try using the limb thingy that the boxes use.
