You can scale it after you make it. You can use +5000 as well, then you use SET OBJECT 1,1,1,0 to see the texture. Anyway, I'm not sure if TGA works in DB Classic.

i figured out why it doesnt want me to make it bigger than 5000, its the wiev distance, if it is out of range the screen turns blue, i just have to change the view distance.. if it's posible...

Just google pallmanni and get the history of me!

isnt it just posible to set the image at the background of the scene? like even if you are going forward, the background doesnt get closer to you?

You can do that, but it might chop through your landscape, and buildings may go through it. You could try it with fog, but anyway, you can make huge skyboxes, like 100000 in size.

make object cube 1,10000
set camera range 4000,15000

position camera 0,0,-15000
point camera 0,0,0

wait 5000

To make it so the skybox doesn't get closer to you, just position the skybox in the same position as the camera or player object. Just put a command like this inside the main game loop:

Position object (skybox object #), camera position x(), camera position y(), camera position z()

Hope it helps!

BTW, I believe you already can make them, but here is a great tutorial by TDK on skyboxes (just scroll down)
