A cop. There will be AT LEAST 4 different cop models in the new model pack coming this summer, with different faces and uniform variations. Here's the first of them:

I agree with Bloodeath. It looks good but you should make weapons too.

Yeah I like it.

I think perhaps the epaulettes need to go a bit further back, and the badge a bit higher? But these are only small details,. I looks really wicked.

great work again bond

only bad thing is that alot of these guys will own my versions, so i guess there will be no point in me making quite a few of the characters im doing now

looking forward to seeing some more models a nice variation would be one of those highway patrol guys with the huge glasses

The lesson here is to do what bond1 is doing if you are going to make character models get the idea down as soon as possible and display them as a wip, that will avoid doubling up on character types. If you have started similar characters I would still finish them as we all have differing styles.

@bond 1
Nice work,like the textures.

yeh, thats the thing though, my 'different style' is texture painting and im still learning, i wish i had the resources and time to find and take photo textures like bond

ah well, all in time, i just cant find characters willing, or uniforms, for me to take photo reference of, such as this cop

but as always, great work on the textures bond, your photography skills are excellent

Thanks, but I think it has more to do with my compositing "skills". Especially for this cop, I wouldn't have the nerve to ask a cop to photograph him. So I started out with reference pics of a fairly muscular man. The cop uniform was pieced together from tons of different sources. Jeez, my photoshop file for this guy must have about 30 layers.

Here, this covers UV-mapping a head, I might do a texturing tutorial sometime though.

oh yeh, and that of course photos can be annoying to work with especially with the perspective view, lighting, and all that jazz, yet yours remain seamless all round, especially the face, good work

1 comment though, is the gun holster a bit small? when looking at his hand, relating to an average pistol size, looks like it may drop out

Another incredible model Bond! Can't wait for the model pack release! If you make weapons, Codemaster needs some weapon models for use of testing the program he's making (Weapon Creator), which will make weapons compatible with FPSC a lot faster then making the files manually! If your interested, you might make a deal with him

Great work as usual! Face is pretty, let's say, humoristic though.

Nigezu just reminded me about the face...

is it me or is he a little neutral, maybe liquify the face a bit and down the eybrows into a staring expression...

By the way, bond. How do you do those texture? Do you use real images on do you draw them yourself?

I think his arms look a bit thin (as Zaibatsu noted) because you haven't modelled any width to the cuff. The shirt sleeve looks to be a loose fit on the upper arm, but tapers to a skin-tight fit at the wrist/glove junction.

The only other thing that stuck me was his lack of ears - modelled ones I mean. He looks good in profile, but just a little bit odd face-on. Also, how's he going to keep his sinister mirrored sunglass on with no lugholes?

A bit nit-picky I know, but that's the price you pay for doing such quality work - we have to go looking for the small stuff

Coincidentally, I've used the same male face reference for one of my characters, but I took his career in totally the opposite direction...

Cheers

Hehe, I see you gave him a bit more hair on the head too, looks nice!

I'll be adding some actual ears to this guy, as well as the my maid model also (she didn't have any either). thanks for the comments.
