Is it normal for DB to perform an illegal operation when there is exactely 255 (or 256 I don't know) characters on the line? I'm using DarkEdit so I don't loose my work, but they use the same compiler don't they?

nope, I haven't had any illegal operations when reaching the line limit, also DarkEdit is just an editor and uses DB to run the programs.

Well, I'm not sure, because I haven't had the problem myself, but I think that DB does have a 256-character-per-line limit. However, I'd have thought that it would have given you an error during compilation, rather than an illegal operation.

Anyway, to fix this, you might have to split your line up - either by nesting 'if' statements within each other or using some temporary variables to store long calculations.

Yeah, I just shotened the length of my variables to 1 character and not 2, it was a problem I had for the 20 line challenge. It just compiled and when the screen went black, the compiler performed an illegal opperation. Yeah, I was pretty sure darkedit was just an editor. Thanks
