What is this:
"Apollo - In Cyberspace No One Can Hear You Scream"
That keeps appearing at the top of the forum?

When I dream,

a gun in the other...

Look at the bottom of every page. Above the Firefox button.

It's the name of the forum software.

The site, and company should just be called APollo. The Game Creators does not identify DB products. It is a sentence that identifies all game making products including C++, Java, and Blitz basic.

Microsoft doesn't encompass the motives/uses of other companies in its name, and Apollo isn't exactly a product of TGC. I think he means it should change its name to something specifically for TGC. It's like naming your soda company "Beverages".

Here's Apollo:

If you've ever wondered why the forums are slow at times, it's because they run the entire thing from this old machine. And if you thought the speed was because of Rich's PHP skills, you're wrong. He's a great PHP coder!

DB does not identify all we do (or sell) either (and hasn't done for years!)

I agree. This is the prettiest forum I go to. All of the other ones are boring-typical, and this one is different and special. Warms my heart, it does. I'm hoping Rich never releases it, the last thing we need is a bunch of clone forums

Yeah, this one is really different. Where else can you not ever find anything anyone has written unless it is in the Topic header? Or not be able to find all the posts by a certain user you really enjoy - including yourself?

I think he should release a "light" version of it, without any extras... just post submit, users and topic listing's...

I can show you MANY forums like that, with plenty worse features.

Not that you actually care to see them of course, you're just bitching like usual.

I had this one girl who was from Portugal. I got this Portugese->English book. Didn't help too much, but it did help to learn Spanish aftwards, because it's really similar. That was in 4th grade, and I haven't seen her since.

But yes, thread searching would be great, sometimes the google thing gives the same thread more than once, and some threads don't appear at all. Also it gives links to boards (like the General Talk board).

I've never googled for information that I didn't get over 8 pages of useless stuff(i guess cross-reference or something)

OooooOooo touchy touchy... anyway, what do you mean "like usual"? I don't particularly bitch too much - not on the TGC forums at least: I'm sure my wife would agree with you, though.

The only rant I indulge every once and a while is the lack of DGDK updates: and on that account not even the good Lord would say I'm wrong.

I only double-posted because I was answering to two different people on somewhat unrelated matters and tone. I feared it would confuse someone glancing through the thread to think both quotes were from the same person.

Quote: "I didn't know b***** was in our non-blocked dictionary"

I'll be honest, I don't particularly care much for the b*tch word because when used about someone it's fairly rude. As a verb it seems to be ok (go figure) - so I guess the forum doesn't block it because it assumes you're using it to mean complain (which was what Richard and I were using it for).

i've never really got that insult, and using it in that context is really stupid, i mean you are saying that a series of scripts running on a computer can give birth to a human being, now that i would like to see
