I know some of you guys are selling model packs and such, but are you doing it on a personal basis or is there a decent site to get something like this set up to where you automaticly get paid and the buyer gets a download link (aside from turbosquid)?

I think thats a great idea. It would be nice to have a FPSC Designer hosted site. Somplace to have everything that people are planning on selling and have it be a central place to buy and sell packs.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to start a thread that has model packs,apps,resources,etc. for sale in it.

LOL That's cool and all, but I'm looking for a company that can allow me to set up a website and sell my pack without haveing any interaction aside from the initial setting up. If not then I'll just go the paypal route and do it myself. I was wondering if anyone used a service for their packs or is it all done personally, But a dedicated thread to model packs and contents for sale would accually be nice.
EDIT-Ah good job FredP, I see you're already on the job about the post but may I make a suggestion? could you accually control that post as in when someone adds a link, edit your own first post to include the link and erase the original poster. It would look so much cleaner to have a mod controled post, as you see the other free stuff post kinda gets clogged with questions and such.

Disturbing 13, I use Paypal along with Microsoft Excel. Paypal is good, you are able to set up buy buttons and add them to your site. Then when people buy your packs you get an email.

I use Microsoft Excel so I can keep names, who has paid, ID's, CDKeys etc.

You can have paypal setup so that when they pay for your pack, it will automatically redirect them to your download page. I use it for my remote service option for my business.

Paypal doesnt point out the buy buttons that clear, you have to go to merchant tools and look down the side bar.

tradebit.com is good

it interacts with paypal , once people have bought it etc , they recieve the download link


tradebit hosts your files aswell, for a small price

like 50 cents a month or something depending on how much space you want

I guess it depends on the product. I know of some who hardly sold anything at all, but others have sold quite some of their product.

When I did create my Landscape Pack, I thought I would only sell just a few of them, 10 at the most. But to my suprise I've sold many more then the 10 anticipated. I'm getting a few orders each week for months now. I haven't even advertised it for a while now, still people find their way to my website.

I'm selling through my own website, using paypal. I've thought abput using other systems, but since the price of the products are so low, I guess at the moment, I would be loosing to much on fees.
