I'm planning to build a machine myself. The components are as follows:
Gigabyte AM2 nForce 430 ATX Motherboard
manufactures code: GA M55 PLUS S3G
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800 Socket AM2 2GHz 1MB 1000FSB
manufactures code: ADA3800CUBOX
Corsair Memory CM2X1024 - 6400 1GB XMS2-6400 240Pin DIMM CAS5
manufactures code: CM2X1024-6400
DabsValue 7900GT 256MB DDR3 PCI-E DVI
manufactures code: 7900GT-G5G3CS
I've compaired these to your selection, and the advantages of my design are as follows:
Duel Core Processor which is only about £12 more then you are paying. 1 single stick of RAM means it's more upgradeable in the future plus the Gigabyte board supports up to 16Gb of RAM, which is massive. In my experiance gigabyte boards are also very stable and well supported. My last three boards where from them, and I've had very few problems. The nVidia 7900GT is just about the best graphics card out there, and cheaper then the ATI x1800.
