first you'll need a welding torch, some scrap metal, maybe some duct-tape, a little glue, and some magic.

but seriously i have no idea what the [mod edit] you did to that poor thing

Check the texture. It looks like the Alpha channel has been tampered with or applied incorrectly, so that it makes part of the texture "invisible", and hence--well, invisible.

Open the texture up in something that reads channels (like Photoshop), and check to see if there's a lot of black on the Alpha. Chances are you don't even need the channel, so you may just go ahead and delete that channel altogether (making sure you make a copy of it for backup purposes first).

If its not the texture as Jiffy suggested it may be the normals in those missing areas need inverting - if you dont know what normals are try looking in the help files for your modeller whatever that might be.

If it looks OK an external model viewer such as Deep Exploration then its probably not the normals and Jiffy may well be correct so try his suggestion first - its much easier to fix.

An Alpha channel is a part of a texture (or any image) that shows up as invisible (basically--if a part of the alpha channel is pure black, it is totally invisible).

Do you have a program like Photoshop? If not, I think that "GIMP" (do a Google search) can edit channels. Basically, look for a tab that says channels and see if the texture has an "Alpha". If it does, delete it.

EDIT: Hm--well, I'm not an expert on modelling, so as far as the animations go, you'll need to wait until another person replies.

Hm...

I don't know much about the GunSpec, but I seem to remember someone telling me that the texture in the "textured" field cannot be any type of map (aka "_D2"). Is there another texture without that that you could try?

Again, just a guess--I've never edited the gunspec myself.

The reason this happens is because all faces on your model need to face outwards. I anim8or, faces facing out are yellow and ones facing in blue. FPSC only textures the front of faces (yellow).

Try to make all the faces face outwards using Flip normals, and some equivilant tool.

Hey dude, I cant view your second screenie, but I did spot this:

End Fire 66-71
Reload 71-99

End fire finishes with the same frame that reload start with. This can sometimes screw up the animation and make it play the reload animation as you finish shooting.

Not always a problem, but it could cause an issue.

i think thats where the object intersects with the cameras field of view, hence the reason the "cut-out" is a little bit out from the camera, this happens all the time, just adjust the placement of the gun, so nothing intersects...

i may be wrong, this is just from past experience programming camera views...

that wasn't swearing! When i was in my school, my teachers screamed theat word at me. my dad used to scream that out publically. I say it in public and no one cares. I don't know what you find offensive in the UK, but i could have said alot worse.

EDIT: plus I've seen alot of others on this forum say that, and they didn't get in trouble. Why am I always the primary target? why do people always run away from me in fear? Why did I buy that pair of shiny pants that make Joe wanna puke? Why do Joe, Hank, Will, Bradley, and Clayton all find shiny pants offensive? Why is my Half sister Brandy the only one that likes shiny pants? whay are you still reading this?

EDIT2:
sorry if I've offended anyone in my mindless rambling, or in my choice of words

@ Zaibatsu- It's not just UK. Some places n the US it's probbably not acceptable. If it could be offensive , just don't post it. It belittles your intellect by useing profanity anyway. Sorry to go off topic..
