i was just thinking about that...
maybe we could do a Robot..war
i mean...do like different map ..and we should do an AI for our robot....with physical restriction...and other restriction..and see who can do the best robot..and ai...

it should be more precise and developped than that...but its just an idea..

and..the robot should be done 100% in DB ...no external media..

yeah...its a good idea but..we should etablish many rules...its still to ..be developped...

if anyone want to organise this ..challenge ..go ahead
cause i dont have ..enough time...
...it was just an idea..cause ive dreamed many time to this kind of challenge...
in fact i was dreaming of that in QB ..about little fighter AI war
or..pong AI war..

but like i said..we should etablish..strong physic rules.... like : your robot should not be like in startrek and have "teleportation" ability

P.S.
sorry for startreck fans...i dont know how it should be write..

i could do that - do you mean like in "robocode" where you program tanks that fight eachother?

robocode is a proggy that helps to teach you java, but i never got it down

They say I'm crazy
but I'm actually REALLY crazy

i dont know...
but in fact i dont know exactly what i want..maybe it should be ..fight or..it could be some "races" ..i mean you should make a course....with obstacle.. and the robot..should go trought..witout touch them..... or something like that..

and the robot should be clocked.. i mean they should not advance X each loop, they must advance X/seconde ....

but you can make the challenge like you want
its up to you...

at the same time it could be an AI & Physic Challenge..and it could be more "free" ..i mean do a robot ..with the best AI&Physic..who can move..stop before touch to wall.... hmmm be able to climb stairs..

....lol like i said im not fixed...
then......make the challenge...im sure that you will..define good rules..
i will surely participate...if i have enough time..

Ooo - robot fighting! I'm good at this one!

There's a very good robot program out there already. It's like many that I'm sure you've all tried, but the fighting/racing/whatever is in full 3D and you construct a robot, not by usual programming, but by wiring up a series of components with different triggered events.

It's called mindrover, if anyone wants to check it out. Just head over to http://www.mindrover.com and perhaps download the trial. I wouldn't mind getting some DB-forumer tournaments going with it!

Of course, if anyone has the time and is willing to make a DB robot program, I'd be happy to join in!

I don't think there is a ***** version, and I've looked pretty hard! I registered it online for about £10, which provides me with a game-key that can be used five times for extra copies.

The big problem with a DB robot game is making it. It wouldn't be that hard, I guess, but I think that most of the more experienced users are all tied up with different projects at the moment; I know I certainly am!
