Is there a theme at all to the contest? It would be weird without one.

is this really a contest or just a sugar coated 'make my games media' ?, the must be submitted in .x was the key there .

lol, no prizes listed, no theme, I just love the organization here! Also to be a judge in your compo it seems having a prize is the key to being selected. What is this compo even for? What will the submissions be used for?

I must follow up on what dark coder said and ask why you need them in .x format? Surely a bunch of nice renders should be enough to see if you like it over others or not?

No prizes, no theme, held by an inexperianced modeller...why should anyone join?

This forum already has a .dbo contest in DBP chat and a general 3D modelling contest in 3D Chat, I don't think this community will want more, so really, you won't have much luck getting your participants, theres no harm in having one for the people on your forums, but this community doesn't seem to be, and have their reasons not to be, I was going to host my contests at my 'dead' forum but no body liked the idea of going to another forum, but rather having it within our community.

Then you should have announced the compo when it started, and just ran a "Is anyone interested in being a judge thread" You'll have to start a second, because even if you edit the first post, all anyone's going to see are these first 12, ungreatfully received posts. Trust me, anything that starts that way, isn't going to go far,

Okay. Here's the deal.Eureka started a new web site not too long ago.He decided he wanted to have a competition.I told him that the FPSC level design compeitition that I ran didn't fare so well and that since he didn't have all of the details ironed out about his contest he should wait a while and get the details of the contest finalized.
Obviously he did not listen to me.Why he posted this in the Geek Culture forum is a mystery to me.
Eureka really does mean well.He just tends to be overenthusiastic.
He did not mean any harm and I hope he does well with his contest. I just hope he finalizes the details before he posts about it first and that he posts it somewhere else.

Yep, 3D design! yay... so I think I'll make a 3D model of flock of angles, dancing on the head of a pin, inside a dogs colon, while being carried through space by an old man with a sack, and a jet powered skate board, being pulled by a horse and cart... or possibily just a table lamp. Or am I misunderstanding? Perhaps he wants a 3D model of a man at computer desk, making a 3D model?
