Hello Guys/Gals,

** Update **(June 28)
Thanks for all the comments ladies and gents
The Game seems to be moving along smoothly, got a bit more done
Posted a newer screen as long as a low quality video. The video is a little grainy but it should be suffice.

** Just for the record, I know the hud is incomplete at the moment, the shadows on the map are a bit screwed up but thats nothing I cant fix. The video does not have much action either but shows off some of the game. With all that said and done enjoy **

*Video 1 [Early Preview]* http://www.freewebs.com/h2khardtokill/Project_Cru-Mun_Early_Preview.wmv

**//Update**(June 28)

I thought that I would let you all see on what I was brewing up recently. I dont want to give out too much info right off the bat but heres a bit about the game.

*Several weapons ranging from grenades to rifles
*Multiplayer - Yes and its in working condition, its on the wip though
*The menu system is complete
*The game code is around 90% complete
*The game graphics are around 50% complete

Ive always liked a game with good game play, and rest assure this game has very good gameplay. Im conducting a private multiplayer test tomorrow so I MAY be able to get a video or 2 on here to show you all the game in action. I MAY release a public demo within a month or two depending on how much work I've done to the game. Im hoping on completing and getting the game published within 4 to 5 months from now. The models, textures and etc. were all 100% made by me. I dont know if I will have daily news about my game as I prefer to get alot done before showing any progress. With all that said and done thank you for your time. Keep an eye out for the demo.

*The GUI is currently a place holder for the mean time* Thanks for pointing that out Hawkeye

This demo comes with a small test map, sorry for the lack of detail in it, I want to make sure everyones preformance is good due to the ngc slow downs im having. Keep in mind this demo uses the p2p network system so people with routers will have to open ports 3998 and 3999. People with routers will also not be able to host games for now.

Hey, looks good, nice gun/hand models. The lighting in the top image is a little screwy, but the bottom one looks good. Only gripe I have is with the gui, those health/shield bar things are ugly compared to the rest of the game.

looks pretty good, however some of the artwork in your game looks rather contrasting, and the hud looks a bit like a flash game, and isnt it a bit stupid to post a picture showing a fleshlight as graffiti? and posting it on these forums

This game looks excelent. The guns are positioned perfectly. The gun bob's beutifuly when you walk. It kicks great when you fire. The reload animation is excelent. The enemys die well. My only peice of crit is I dont think you have a ground texture, it looks like plain light tan to me, is it supposed to be sand? Besideds that, great job and keep it up

** Update **(July 01)
*The game code is around 95% complete
*The game graphics are around 55% complete
Upon the completion of the code, the graphics should be done quite fast.

A little more programming left and alot of testing to come. I will try to get you all some new screens within the next week or 2. As always I appreciate the feedback.

I think it's the other way around. First position the object, then position the camera in the head...

** Update **(July 05)
*The game code is around 98% complete << Thats right, its almost done
*The game graphics are around 60% complete

I just pretty much need to clean up my code and rewrite it and check for any bugs. Im gonna release the beta demo once I finish all the graphics, then once I fix all the bugs on the beta I will revise the game and then release it. Dont know any specific time and day though. The estimated time from my original post still stands until I can verify otherwise. Should be speedy though unless I run into something major

Hey whats up,

** Update **(July 30)
I was a little delayed for a bit with the code but now all is well.
Ive got a new screen showing off some of the new graphics. Keep in mind the entire map was just thrown together for testing purposes. Im gonna be conducting some multiplayer tests later today to get system specs/preformance results/bug fixes. If all tests go well I may be able to get a demo within 2 weeks from now. Wish me luck.

*Game Graphics 80% Complete

Hey Nerd,
Thanks for the comment.

** Update **(July 31)

Ok the multiplayer tests were held today. I was able to get 3 of my friends in there to test it.

Computer 1
Processor: Amd Fx-60
Graphics Card: Geforce 7600gt
Ram: 1 Gig
Frame rate: Constant 67

Computer 2
Processor: Intel p4 2.4 Ghz
Graphics Card: GeForce4 Ti4600
Ram: 1 Gig
Frame Rate: 18-24

I was unable to get the specs for computer 3. I did how ever get a comment that it ran really smooth. The multiplayer had some glitches that I am going to fix in a sec. The general game had few minor glitches. Im gonna see what I can come up with and fix. If all goes well for me you could be seeing a demo as early as late next week.

Hey hey! ,
Alright ran a few mp tests, i dont know if we had lag from the network code because the collision system was lagging the game quite a bit for some but im gonna work on that for tomorrow. here is a screen of how the game turned out. If you look closely you can see 2 players across from me there and ofcourse I was first lol. Good thing my computer didnt lag as much as them! I will keep you all posted . If all goes well you could be seeing a demo tomorrow or the next day.

Looks cool but how does the scoring system work as there are more frags than deaths unless I'm not understanding the scoreboard properly.

yeah, i was wondering the same thing... looks like 24 frags and only 20 deaths

but, that's wicked awesome that you have multiplayer working for the most part... that's gotta make it twice as cool

Alright fellas,
Ive made the map for the beta testing. Im in the process of finishing the graphical touch ups. The only thing that may be holding me back is this collision lag but im still messing with it. I may still release the beta even if I havent fixed the lag issue. I will probably just fix errors as I go from the beta to the demo. Ill let you know what happens today.

Hello hello peeps ,

Alright Ive got a pretty solid base of the game now. Im gonna attempt my last (for now) attempt at fixing this collision lag tomorrow. Aside from that I have a busy day and I have a list of things to fix in the game. With that said I plan on having a public beta test demo of the game tomorrow or early Wed but thats only if I get held up. So (I hate making early promises but) be expecting a beta demo sometime tomorrow. I had a couple friends test it today (not at the same time unfortunatley) but they gave me the green light. I have attached a couple of images of what you should be expecting to see in the beta.

Long time no see, I havent died yet so here I am. Ive been working on improving the game and im comming close to another public release, hopefully this time people will actually try it. Tons of bug fixes, remade engine, short loading times, new graphics. Anyways here are some screen shots. Bare in mind that the map was just thrown together for testing purposes.

Ok, I have something stable. I have yet to test out the game with more than 3 people. I would like to know if anyone would like to test the pre beta demo. I would like to get as many people as possible to max the game out and possibly find network errors. If you are interested let me know. I will be holding testings today.

Cpu greater than or equal to 1.5ghz

Looks incredible. I think people don't come to this thread because they don't expect anything more than a barely started project. You may want to start a new one with something in the title indicating you have playable demos and multiplayer.

Hey guys thanks for the input.

@ Ian T - I also wondered my self why is it that not many seemed interested. I did have a demo thread but decided to come back to this as the alhpa demo attempt had a bad turn out/no testers.

@ Gil - Thanks bro

@ Cian Rice - Yeah thanks for the comment, ill see what I can do.
