Dude, I
wish I had enough time to play BF2. This week, I've done 5x12 hour days, and I'm going into work this Sunday. The 120 mile commute doesn't help, consuming a further 2.5-3 hours a day. All in all, I'm spending about 16 hours a day out of the house, which leaves me with 30 minutes to eat in the evening followed by 7 hours sleep. Bitter? Hell yes.
To anybody who cares to read this - don't go into software development thinking it's a 9-5'er. All the jobs I've had have required me to waive my right to working a 40 hour maximum working week, many of which have exploited that.
What grinds me is that my current employer shows no sign of a let up in the schedule.
So ... I am about, and I do post, but the work/life split is hovering at about 95:5 at the moment.
