AGH!!

Whenever I run (so it seems) applications involving 3d environments , they sometimes shut down in the middle of my work! I work fast and get right to the point but never get the same outcome twice, so when i lose work I'm pissed! the applications doing this to me are

Milkshape 3d
Metasequioa
Final Fantasy XI
Blender (if i recall correctly)
Cartography shop (newest installment)
DeleD LITE
Aol Instant Messenger

Applications I was using at the same time that did not crash.

Photoshop CS2
Deep Exploration
DarkBASIC Pro
MSN Messenger

This has happened several times. I restarted and I still cant play FFXI, Milkshape crashed just a minute ago when i tried to work on some animations >,>...

I use firefox so most of the spyware/crap that comes thru websites is eliminated and im fairly certain i dont have a virus. I dont open any wierd looking email nor do i even really get any.

I wondered if it was a RAM issue, but I have a gig of ram and my video card is an ATI RADEON x800 G2.

I can play CS Source and all the steam/valve games without problems. Can someone help me out in finding what the problem is? I cant work on anything until this is sorted out.

I think you might have a faulty RAM chip. Or your fan is not running properly.

my puter has worked fine for several months now... I dont see how it would just all the sudden stop working. And also its not all the propgrams, just the ones listed. and its been repeatedly happening, so i think it must be program specific... or maybe those programs all run on the same sort of framework... dunno

msblaster traveled via ports... just turning on your internet connection could get you infected. IOW, go ahead and run a scan instead of believing that you are invicible. (although I will bet you are right).

Ramchip? Possibly, but I was under the impression that that crashed windows as well.

Your Mod was deleted by the Government.

nah, my card is workin great just played some CS:S on high settings, no lag or nothin...

This is really wierd. I ran a spybot check and mostly was common stuff

Afterwards i started FFXI and played fora bout half an hour then boom, crashed again. No use getting a group together if im gonna DC every 5 minutes.

Although I really need tog et tehse animations done, Ill try milkshape...again...

yep -.- did it again...

Ive also noticed that alot of the times in teh applications its in tthe "save" or "open" wCertainly not always but ironically it has been a number of times. thats strage seeing as the amount of time you spend there is fraction to elsewhere.

well i guess ill just play with rocks and sticks until i can fix this
