Ok guys, I'm REALLY proud of this one. I think it came out very realistic. And the thing I'm most proud of is that I almost entirely made the texture from scratch in photoshop! (I'm especially proud of the face mask)

The great thing about this character is you can have a bunch of these running around in your game without breaking the illustion of reality, since he doesn't have a face!

And only about 1100 polys to boot!

No actually both feet are tilted, he hasn't been rigged yet. He's in the reference pose, legs apart, with the ankle and foot conforming to the rotation of the hip.

Wow, excellent work! You're models are getting better every time.

I'm really looking forward to the release of this pack! I'm still hoping to see a list of what's included in the character pack you're working on, but I'm thinking it's very close to what I do need. If it has besides the things you mentioned, some casual people and fireman, then you've got me buying it for sure.

Thanks Benjamin. I'm aiming for a pack of about 20 characters, here is a list of what is already completed and what is still to do:

* Civilian girl in skirt - done
* Grizzled old man -done
* 2 Security guards - done
* Cleaning lady -done
* Police officer (several versions) -done
* Paramedic (male/female) -done
* Hazmat worker -done
* Nurse - in progress
* Surgeon -in progress
* Prison inmates (2) -in progress
* Sexy girl - in progress
* Prostitute (if TGC will let me get away with it!)
* Man in suit
* More ZOMBIES!

There may be more, but if everything goes to plan than this should round out a very nice pack.

Yeah when I say I made the texture in photoshop, I mean I didn't use photographic sources. But I'll use filters like a sonofabitch.

lol, filters can be annoying sometime, theres too many steps to make base textures, which you'll forget how to make again later, but some of them make some pretty cool effects

you keep wanting me to go out and get some photos for character creation, but i cant find anything unique, lol, making me resort to my crappy painting

Thats amazing! Will you make several different versions of each character model so we could add more then one to each scene without it looking like the same character? For instance, the girl model, will ther be different textures of her? I think if you did that, the packs price could easily be upped by a good amount!

That's true, but knowing this community, you may loose a good number of sales if you up it to much. In that case it may be better to split it into 2 packs that cost less, instead of one pack that cost more.

This summer sometime. Yes guys I plan on making different skins for certain characters, like the cop and security guard for example, because that would make the most sense. But I don't think I'll be making alternate skins for EVERY model.

Also keep in mind that unless something changes, this will be an official model pack offered through TGC. I'm willing to bet that they will want to keep the same price structure as the other 2 packs. So that's why I'm aiming for about 20 characters, maybe a few more, to keep it at the same value as the other packs.

Thanks for the comments

*goes to check the price TCG offers for model sets.* $40.00 for 20 or so characters that look this nice? Yeah...i'd buy that!

Edit: Also yours look alot less blocky then some of the ones TGC offers.

Blobzone,
Bond is making a model pack for release later this summer.As far as I know he is not selling the models individually.
I erased the wrong post.If you hadn't double posted in the first place that wouldn't happen.
That language is unacceptable and you have been warned.

Yeah sorry, I'm only selling these as a pack. Honestly it just wouldn't be worth the time I'm putting into these to sell them individually, unless I charged an honest-to-goodness freelance rate, which I'm sure no one here would want to pay.

Very nice work man and will make a great addition to my game. The only trouble I see is that you have Oxygen and the flamable thing. I know that oxygen is what keeps fire going I passed all my science exams but I still think the sign is out of place if you get me. Well whatever it's awesome and I can't wait to get it. You should make a zombie simialr to the half life 2 one so we can make commercial horror games with them (hint hint).

Bond, seriously, you've outdone yourself with this model.

Zerodin, where did you get $40 from? The model packs I've seen are $20 a piece and usually include 55 to 70 models and entities. Even if no entities are included with the models, $20 is still a great deal for that kind of range.

Oh yes THERE WILL be zombies, you won't be disappointed. After this pack comes out you'll be saying, "What Half-Life zombie?"

I'm also working on a new zombie biped that will include new animations, and also a "fast" zombie that comes at you with a limping run and arms outstretched, terrifying!

About 250-270. My early heads had more like 500, which was a waste.

I made a hazmat model about a month ago. Same design as you're one Mark, but I have no texture for it.

There is some thing I dislike about the model, it is either the bloated legs, arms or some other thing, maybe the head.

I would say I like the texture and the model as a whole.
