Several and I have erased some of your posts because you have posted the same question ten times.Use the search function and type in muzzleflash.

I'm sure that I've posted only one or two times the same question, and I don't remember having got any answer.
When I used the search function for "muzzle flash", I found 3 threads about muzzle flash. In those 3 threads, I can't find my answer.
So I would like to get it.

I'm French but I try to write in good English

I posted the answer and you found it in muzzle flash if you searched.
I will try posting this one more time.
When you animate your weapon you have to make a bone or joint called "firespot".

A quote from one of the threads...
Quote: "Also make sure you've got a bone called FIRESPOT placed at the end of the weapon as I believe this is where FPSC places the muzzleflash entity."

This has been posted to your question before.
If this doesn't help you I would suggest you try the 3D Chat forum.

Anyone know of any GOOD tutorials on UV mapping. Im using DeepUV. I read the only tutorial I can find on the web. Its okay but it alittle Blaa to understand. The pictures dont match the print and the print is to small at times to read and I get lost. Im also using 3d max 6. A good video tutorial on uv mapping would be helpful. I believe Lithunwrap is limited to the poly count and verticles so i dont want to use that.

Fred had asked in a freebie thread of mine how I keep things so low of polys. I decided I'd write a tutorial that covered the whole model from setting up the world space to its final poly count. Though writen for 3dmax it is so detailed that following along in any software is a matter of you knowing your software as well.

Though I originally inteded this for my site I'm releasing the the zip here. Inside is a .htm file and all the images. Just click the htm file to open the tutorial in a browser.

If you want to find out how to to EASY PEASY RECOLOURS in less than an minute then read this!

1. Visit http://www.irfanview.com and download the program and external plugins.

2. Open a file. I'm using the chaingun ammunition.

3. Click Enhance Colours in the image section.

4. Choose a new colour for your object. How about sapphire?

5. Now save the new texture by clicking Save as. Don't click Save or it will save over the base texture!

6. Save the texture into a new folder in Gamecore/Guns. I shall put mine in guns/spec/chaingun.

7. Now we need to copy the main gun texture and redo that. Nothing wrong with silver is there? I'll tell you how to make Silver objects later. Make sure you have saved your textures in TGA format. It will still work, as long as you modify the GUNSPEC as well.

8. After doing the main gun texture, copy the gunspec, hud and vweap files into the new folder, plus all the sound files.

9. You've done the gamecore. Now to do the entities. Easy peasy. Make sure you have FPSC Entity maker or FPSMods entity creation suite. http://www.fpsmods.co.nr

10. Your gun is dun. It should look like this.

Image List:
Sorry I couldn't upload the images.
rc1: step 2
rc2: step 4
rc3: step 6
rc4: step 7
rc5: step 10

Making Silver Guns
The quadruple post was part of my tutorial.

1. Open Irfanview with the texture.
2. Go into Image.
3. Convert the image to greyscale, then go into enhance colours and raise the brightness.
4. You now have a Silver texture! The best thing to do with silver guns is to make the strength higher.

Making Golden Guns
Trying not to copy off Scaramanga.

1. Convert the texture to Greyscale like we did, but don't raise brightness.
2. Select Effects from Image and then click Sepia. The texture will turn out golden!

To me these sound like cheats.

Included in post is Rc4.

Hi all - Just getting back into FPSC after a long time away from it and there is nothing better than Tutorials to help me but clicking on web page after web page is driving me Nuts - So I had an Idea How about an Offline Version of this Thread in the form of a Help File (CHM) - Would this be Illegal ? If I created a help file with all the tutorials in this thread (Only tutorials on forum not ones linked Offsite) - each tutorial would have (C)by poster and link to tutorial thread.

Just need to know if anyone would object to there tutorial being added - If it's legal or not to do so - I can PM a mod a sample if they wish - when finished will post for everyone to use.
