10MB....though at the mo it's running pathetically slowly. Ntl might be cheap, but that's about all they've got going for them.

512k. I'm sickened to be only 10 times faster than Fighting Spirit.

After 8 years on a modem, I'd have to say I've earned by recent 6mbs.

10mb for me. Apparently my cable company are going to bump it to 20mb soon for free. So the rumour goes. Think my speed is 1mb upwards, but not sure. May still be only 512k (again they are supposed to speed this up nowish).

Cheers

My browser can parse through 96 useless threads per second. I'm not suggesting that this is a useless thread, I'm just telling you how fast my internet speed is.

If that was over the internet, and not the LAN, and it was consistant at 1200kb a sec (not just an XP blip) then that sounds about right for a 10mb connection (thats about what I get on mine). Of course that could have been a slow(ish) site and you are actually on 24mb and were only using less than half of your capacity

Currently I'm using NTL and they have a deal which will get you 10mb for £22.50 a month for 3 months (then £35). But after the 3 months just switch to 4mb (think it has been increased now from 2mb) for £25 a month.

Oh yeah, and they have just switched the 10mb to be unlimited downloads. Was 75gb a month.

8Mb paid for, but I only get a stable 5Mb due to line quaility issues. But I got a free wireless router with £60 so I don't care, it was only a £5 increase from 2Mb, which basically means a free upgrade, and a £5 installment payment for a wifi router

It means that a thread asking people what their internet speed is, is pointless. A person on a 56k is going to get speeds typical to a 56k, and so on. That question alone is in fact completely pointless.

Maybe organizing your sentance structure so it makes a little bit more sense would help.

Nahh... I have seen that many sites won't let me download at my max potential anyways. Just wondering what all that speed is for... perhaps... war?
