Just to elaborate some more...It used to be called War's Gun and has now changed name to Redemption Regime of War. The website for "Project Nine Productions" is http://www.gnzu.com
And the link to the actual game's page is http://www.gnzu.com/redemptionregimeofwar.htm

Nice screens, good layout. I'm not too sure about the train car in the last one, but I haven't looked over the story line yet. Good work all around guys.

@KeithC and George,
Thanks for the feedback, the traincar is there as transportation of subjects throughout the Research Centre on the Planet.

Ah, great idea. Are you using it as a placeholder, or a permanent entity?

@Nigezu,
No, it is not the floor of your texture pack. Framerate is during test, and I have not yet weedled through and turned physics off and made any other changes to increase framerate yet, so be patient with that. You can't just say the screenies don't look great, give consutrctuive criticism or get the hell out of the boards.

A placeholder is something you use during development that a permanent entity (oject/mesh/model) will replace in the final product. In your case you may have thought of making a vehicle that looks a bit more modern, but used the train car during production as a placeholder in order to visualize what's going on in your level better.

Yes, it is partly a placeholder, but I am still unsure of whether I shall replace it or not. And thanks for the explanation,

Those screenies don't look so good because:
1) there is not much custom media (of course you can make good game with stock media too if you use it wisely).
2) lightning isn't so great.
3) there is too much open space without furniture.
3) it looks like there is lots of corridors.

I'm just trying to help you.

@Nigezu,
Thank you for the constructive criticism. I hate people whinging about Stock though-so what if it is stock, custom media is not what makes a game great. You have a lot to learn if you think custom media is what makes a game really good...

All we can see is what you post. We have no idea about the game play. What you have shown us looks like a decent use of stock media, in my opinion, but it's nothing special. Yes, after what some creative people have posted on these boards, some people are no longer impressed with stock media. If you don't want people to comment on what they see, don't show it.

BTW: You should can the attitude.

Happy game making.

I didn't say you can't make good game with stock media. Some people here have done really impressive games with stock media. If you put entities in right places and make great lightning then stock media looks really good too.

Oh well. Thanks for the constructive comments though, Nigezu. Xplosys, no attitude was used. Read through my post again, and you will find that I am stating my opinion upon whether Custom Media alone makes a good game or not.
