alright, i've been fighting with this sky sphere thing for a while. i looked at the jetski demo and tried what it had. IT'S STILL NOT WORKING! i have no idea what i'm doing wrong. i really need help with this and i'm confused as all hell. once again here's my code. the sky sphere is made in the weather subroutine. i can't see my sky, when it starts up, i see the texture for my sky for a split second then it disappears and i still have no sky sphere just the backdrop. what do i need to do?

I know that it looks sloppy, but my collision with my outer limits don't work and neither does my sky sphere. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanx in advance.

you have to make the sky sphere a negative size to see it from the inside. try

make object sphere [object #],-[size of sphere]

if an object isn't a negative size then you can't see it from the inside...hope this helps.

just a few comments:
include "weather.dba" is remmed
backdrop must be off
you set camera range to 2500 then scale a 2000 sky sphere to 200, therefore you'll get it 4000 large, I.e. beyond your camera range.
you set fog at 4500 with camera at 2500
play with the cull flag to see the sphere from inside it

hope it helps...
cheers

one of the example codes from DB classic, has a troll on a jetski racing arounds an aircraft carrier and doing jumps on an undulating sea (don`t ask ), uses a matrix for the water so it wouldn`t be that good for a waterfall, try several long ghosted plains with water textures on them mixed together at slightly different angles and then scroll the texture rapidly down and gently side to side at random with transparent set, if you have Unreal then set ghost mode and take a close look at the one outside the ship at the start of the game, you can see how they did it, cheers.
