Im having a number of annoying sound related problems which may be all related. No songs in Itunes play, the little progress bar just sits at the beginning. Youtube videos play but the sound does not play at all. Im having the same problem with a flash based video player on a movie site, all video with no sound. I have a on board soundcard on my Asus A7V333 which used to work in all of the above situations. My soundcard is a onboard CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device and I just updated the drivers. Im running windows XP, any help?

Have you checked your device manager for any conflicts, just hit the windows button and the pause/break button then the hardware tab, if you didnt know, and check there.

Well maybe your player does not have the Codecs.

Gimme Da Codecs!!!

Best to try to play them with WMP and that will then look for the Codecs for you.

WMP = Windows Media Player

If you use FireFox, there's a plugin for watching videos and whatnot online with ease. Lemme go link fetching for you.

EDIT: Bada bing https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390/
