I didn't see a name in the video. The game looks great, but that was poor as a trailer. Nice use of Windows Movie Maker though.

Yeah, seconded. The game looks very good. Nice what you've done on it so far (but surely it wont be ready for August 2006?!?!). Trailer was rubbish lol. Transitions are cheesey and fonts used were bad. Always stick with a standard scene switch, or fade in/out. Never use the 3D stuff and all that other rubbish they give you. It's ubercheese. There's a reason why you never see anything like that in professional vids. But the content was very good, so it kept me watching to the end. Cool looking project.

Same sentiments, you have put a lot of work into that game. Good job!

it looks very good! but for i didn't see any proof that it was an MMO, except for a login screen.

Don't be flashy mate. Windows Movie Maker is fine. Just have staight jumps from scene to scene - no 3D tom foolery. Perhaps switch the plain black backgrounds with white font for images you can whip up in photoshop? Get a scroll image and then put your text on that in an old english style font, and use that instead.

Here you go. Something like this. Change the background to black around the scroll, put your text on there. Maybe use movie makers standard fade in and out from black transition.

That's just what I'd do to keep the RPG feel.

That looks like Realm Crafter...

And why work on the trailer when the game is so lacking in playability? You should just work on the game.

Thanks for the advice Fallout.

@Crash- Yes it is Realm Crafter and I am still scripting some aspects of the game. Ream Crafter has a very likable nature to me

At first I thought this was in DBP, so I was impressed. Still didn't think a game so early in development should have gotten an epic trailer like this.

But if it's in Realm Crafter then that's pure cheese dude. Sorry.

yea this is basically a trailer for all the built in features of realm creator, from there website actually.

last time it was brought up the features included basically everything you have on there, therefore you are not advertising anything you did yourself...

Im fairly certain you probably didnt even make any of the media yourself, besides maybe that rap/dramatic latin opera song. Before the first in game shot came up I was expecting Tupac or someone to come out, but it was a lame login screen which took a bit long. i ghout you might have had a siesure or something and forgot you were capturing.

Lesson you learned today : Learn how to make your own game, you did not code ANY of the aspects shown in that footage.

It's all stock Realm Crafter. I downloaded the demo a few days ago. It has some nice media, and it's a clever marketing idea.

Seriously though, making an MMORPG in it is just a waste of time. Who would pay to play your carbon copy clone of an existing system? Nobody would. The existing media is good, but there is a limited amount.

I'd buy the models from those guys, though...

Same here, Music didn't quite match the content, and the mouse just seemed kinda sluggish and lazy on the login screen as it was drifting back and forth and nothing interesting was happening.

A trailer is supposed to exaggerate the action in a game. Pure drama.

Basically, it should have a point. Like, a mini story. During the telling of the mini story, you showcase the most visually appealing parts of the game, pretending that they're all part of that story, and that every single part will be like those.
