Ok, here's my real rant..
this is for anyone thinking about offering to do box art.

Be serious for a minute and realise that, until you use a real programming language, learn to model, get funding, and secure a publishing deal, you're never going to need a box design.

and even if you did secure a publishing deal, you as the developer would have no part in the publish to retail process, because your publisher has more power to distribute and handles it for you. The only way you might not be distributing through a publisher was if your company released the game on their own funds, and judging from the lack of spending power of the majorety of users on here you'd have to release on line to reduce costs and therefore wouldn't need a box.

Which leads me to question the neccessity for all this box art posting. Surely if I had spent my hard earned hours developing anything worthy of going in a box, I would outsource my box design to someone professional. Who could ACTUALLY print up a bulk of boxes,CDs and so on.

I can think of about 10 things that are odd about this...

1- The spelling. You are need talk good grammars.

2- The cash. Wait 12 years, get a bank account, and then we'll talk.

3- Lode. It may be a coincidence, but I know a machinma comic (or Gamic, if you prefer) maker who goes by that username.

4- "and we will talk about me telling you my address so u can send the envelope with the stuff in it." I have never heard ANY company EVER use "u" instead of "you". Does Valve say "Congragulations on ur recent purchase of teh Hef-Liyfe 2. We hope u haev teh nice day."

5- DavRulesKinda. Yeah, you see, if you're trying to get someone to buy your stuff, use a name that isn't something like DavRulesKinda. It isn't "LeeRulesKinda"

6- "Also include your money only accepts cash only" So, now I have to pay my money AND you in cash?

7- "Only in USA" Why limit yourself so? I'm sure somebody in France would gladly buy a 10-year-olds box art!

8- Again, no examples. I have delayed setting up my site for my game until I have enough demos to break your ears off. GET EXAMPLES.

9- Blogspot. I have never seen a "company" host their site on Blogspot. At least go to Freewebs.

10- cow_hat_tree@yahoo.com. I just emailed EA Games at chunkypienose@aol.com. And TGC at ihugjoo@earthlink.net.
