Well, I am working on a custom input function (hey, I was bored!) and all was going well until I made the delete part. Well, heres what happens.

if keystate(14)=1
length#=len(test$)
test$=test$-(right$(test$,1))
endif

Doesnt seem to work. I tried

if keystate(14)=1
length#=len(test$)
test$=test$+(right$(test$,1))
endif

And it added the character fine! There seems to be a problem subtracting characters from a string.

Anyone else experience this?

Im using DB V1.13 (ordered pro today muahhaha)

Thanks,
RPGamer

You cannot subtract strings that way, what you're looking for in this case is:

Who are you and what have you done with RPGamer?

You don't usually have any kind of problems with DB, Gamer - it's usually you giving out the help!

Oh I'm somebody who pops up now and again.

I think RPGamer must be having a bad day if he's got someone like me helping him

Well, we all get programmer's block every now and then. Perhaps you're just working too hard!
