i put this post orginally in the wrong section sorry! what?? exactly, well im not entirely sure where this post belongs,

1. Im thinking of creating a beat em up that is based on the star wars universe, however i have my reservations for a number of reasons, the first being that they dont go down too well on the PC and the second being that im none to sure of the idea.

it will be a beat em up that will totally focus on the JEDI and SITH and im only going to create two characters due to how much modelling and animation would go into it.

It would be totally weapon based (no punching or kicking) and you would use your light sabre to pull of combos, your opposing character would use (in game "the force") combo blocks that would be the same for all characters no matter the attack (thus shit loads of modelling, it would take ages to model about five (or more) different blocking combos for each attacking combo).

plus , well tell me what you think.

a beat-em-up for the PC with nothing more than anakin and maul dukein it out, think about it clearly, it would take me ages to do and if people here didnt think it was all that good what would have been the point.

there was a failed N64 title which was like that... was actually pretty damn good - and it weren't for the £50 price tag i think it'd of been pretty popular

i think it was ported to the Saturn too - failed on that too, but you have to admire the determination of someone who obviously didn't have a skooby what he was doing in marketing

sounds cool, like a super smash brothers for computer you mean? Be better if you could get more characters though: jango fett, ect...

also some secret characters would be cool: the nexu, Jaba the hut

im gonna go ahead with this, i looked at some modeling tutorials last night, and raven is right i shouldnt give, and i quote " a skooby" about over peoples views, i think that people would be disappointed with the game if they didnt see the characters they wanted.

if you dont have a very good grasp of modeling and animation and coding, it's not gonna happen.

ah but, thats the thing i do have a good grasp of coding, granted not in basic but in Delphi and c++ also i may not be all that much of a modeler but when i do the models ill give u all screen shots.

BASIC isnt hard, try genetic algorithms in c++ now thats slightly more difficult

C++ is simple once you get the major stuff down (^_^)
trying to get C++ depth of coding into Basic ... now thats a bugger and a half cause you've gotta know more commands and routes for things than you'd have to in C/C++
