I don't play counter-strike and have no clue what format they use but here would be my pipeline.
1. What format is it using.
2. What format am I using.
3. Is there a converter for the CS model type to fit my format.
4. Google extensively.
5. Part A. Cs uses a proprietary software and theres no converter.
Part B. I've found a converter so now I read the plug in makers site.
b1. I now know how to convert the models so I return to FPSC forums
b2. I use the search at the bottom of the page, both site and google, to look up the numerous threads on importing meshes and anything related to this subject, and I start out with a simple object.
b3. I search again for threads containing information on the animation of a model with the FPSC animations that are for download. ....where are they for download you ask?...Why in the downloads section.....Those crafty TGC staff.
b4. I ask questions from the community concerning troubles I'm having only after I've tried to research them on my own.(i.e., My model comes out white..but i got it in game// The animations don't transfer, am I using the right panda settings...but I got it in the game///My model seems to be half in the floor....but I tried at least and got it in the game.)
These threads asking to be spoon fed a solution, or work pipeline is getting old. Once ya try and tie your own laces pumpkin Mom and dad will show you where you've went wrong.
I use a legit copy of 3ds Max8...I also got cd's full of tutorials that came with that,( and other books and cd's I bought after it) heck....I only used a few but if got a problem....I've got the documentation. I know any piece of software you have thats legit is going to have so much documentation you'll have pdf's coming out of your ears.
When some one on this forum has a problem and they've been trying hard you'll see people jump over themselves trying to get the problem solved for said member.
From now on I think I'll answer this kinda post with a
Quote: ""Would ya like the strained carrots or peas pumpkin?""
in reference to being spoon fed the answers.
