Ok, explanation of the subject. "Getix Interactive Team's MMO-RTS/RPG/FPS/RACING"
What we are planning on is a huge game with all of those implemented.
RTS- Real Time Strategy--Ex. Leader of the Fighters Guild.
RPG- Role-Playing Game--Ex. Stats and a LONG story line
FPS- First Person Shooter--Ex. Bow and Arrows
RACING--Horse races

We are producing two versions of this (unnamed) FC (Full Circle) game. One that is a Massively Multiplayer Online game and one that is single player and online horse racing, chatrooms,World Builder,World Destroyer. Any names would be helpful. We also are currently looking for team members, as we are low on help.(please mods don't take this as a team request, it's not)
I (Jim) will be programming most of the game, and at this point, modelling too. Any ideas you may have, type them here, and we'll see about getting them in.
Sorry for the lack of information, as I don't have a name yet. Any ideas for the name?
-Jim

So all you have done is copy some code, and then create a loading screen, along with a main menu.

You cant really give it all those titles because you have different game features. Lots of games have different game features with different control styles but they still have only one genre.

Admiral: I relize that. It's just kind of hard to say whether it's a rpg or rts or fps or racing, you see? As the story isn't fully planned out yet, and no name as of now, it's pretty hard to even explain the game.

I think you just gave us a few fine examples of why you posted the WIP too early...

I might have posted it a bit early, but I need names and thought it would be good to post it here and get some ideas, feedback, and of course, names.

BTW, Dagger model done. And is 124 Polys too much for a dagger?
Always check top post for images as there are links beside the names of those which are close to being finished.

There are rules for the wip you should have read them your post does not qualify for a work in progress. And im sure that for the mayjority of the game you would be controlling your character in either first or third person making it a first of thrid person rpg.

I have read the rules, and once again, I posted this to get some ideas from the community and NAMES. I've also started this for help, for example my dagger model, I don't know a good poly count for a simple melee weapon. So I ask it here. It's an early post I know, but is anyone just willing to help instead of persisting that this shouldn't have been created.

Good luck. I wonder how you will cram an rts/rpg/fps/racing game into one with only a 'dagger' and a menu screen to start off with. You should come back later with more convincing info+screens.

I'm certainly not convinced

Sorry if I offended...

Heckno: That's what it looks like. It won't look like that in the game, because what I'm working with right now, when you stab the enemy, in this case a wolf, the dagger becomes stained with blood. And unlike other games, example, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, it becomes stained and disappears after a few seconds, ours becomes stained never goes away unless you swim, when you swim it fades depending on how long you were in the water.

UFO: I relize why you wouldn't be convinced. Come back in a few days and you'll see a difference.

And STILL no one has helped. Is that too many polys for a dagger??

This is not a forum to ask questions or help if you want to do that goto the dbpro board or newcomers. The rules are clear no screenshot(ingame),demo, or considerable planning and media shown of and it gets lock as will this post soon enough.

Getix Interactive, I myself always use the Game Design Theory board during my planning and theory phases. WIP is not the board for that.

Very important step. bmps are too big in size.

*sighs*

@Getix: if you REALLY plan on making this game a reality, plan on spending at LEAST 4 years with a team of people... trust me, it WILL take that long for something like this to be made.

And by then your graphics and gameplay technologys will be outdated and inferrior so really no point in taking something this big on yet.

*sighs*

Arbitrary numbers...

Not only would no amateur team stay together for that long, but it just wouldn't take that long. The scope of his game is not that insane. It's an RPG with various action elements. I'm including action elements in mine...

The problem with this project is that he is way ahead of himself. Ideas and a dagger picture don't make a game at all.
