Oh dear, it looks like someone here doesn't quite understand the laws of physics.

I understand that it wont generate enough power to overcome the power it takes from the car's speed, but the amount of speed it'll reduce the car by would be unnoticable, and I wasnt suggesting the fan-generated power would power the car, but it could be utilized for other smaller things like the cigarrette lighters and whatnot.

Im not sure what I mean by boost in speed, I think I was thinking of the aero-dynamics the wind-tunnel formed from the fan intake would increase the cars speed, and forgot the actual fan would slow it down.

Sugar ethanol isn't as clean as hydrogen, but it's easy and cheap to convert, FAR cleaner than corn ethanol, and it's the most efficient in that it takes less sugar ethanol to power a car than petrol, and said car will be faster than the petrol-powered ride. Pros = super efficient, good performance, cheap as heck; cons = not as clean as hydrogen"

What, we're the only ones doing this?

Oh yeah, and one more thing...

To my knowledge, yes you are. Brazil was the first country to get on the ball with the energy crisis and global warming our planet is facing... it's just too bad they weren't first on the ball against france

Is it in easy supply?
Do many, if any modifications need to be made to your vehicle?
what sort of price per gallon/liter compared to gas?

ruccus, every vehicle on the road has something called an alternator, that produces the 12v electrical current that all of the electronics in the vehicle use when the engine is running (including the cigarette lighter). it also powers the distributor, which fires the spark-plugs, and it recharges the battery, for the next start up.

Oh nice. Come to think of it I remember my brother telling me something about that a while back, must've forgotten. There's still tonnes of things they could be doing though.

We're totally getting off subject lol. And I don't want to see this thread get locked because of our code boxes... and if I continue into this debate, it'll start to get ugly hehe. So e-mail me if you want to further this code debate

To my knowledge, it's relatively cheap to modify (about as expensive as corn ethanol, maybe a bit cheaper). My sister says Sugar Ethanol is about $1.15 when converted into USD, but I don't know where she got that from or how accurate it is, but I'd assume it's a lot cheaper than petrol (as most things are). I'm trying to find a link to find out precisely how expensive it is, but everything I can find is theoretical I'll try again later this evening. But it's definitely in large supplies, especially out of southeast asia and India. And we can grow it here at home, too, so it can easily be domesticated.

My girlfriend and I drove cross-country from Spokane to Binghamton. Along I-90, which takes you from Spokane to Syracuse directly (and still we managed to get lost!), we passed through Wyoming. We saw a HUGE Halliburton petrolium processing plant of some sort, and LITERALLY for at least 20 miles all you could smell was the rancid stink of crude oil. It was so heavy in the car, I was afraid to light up a cigarette in fear we'd combust But after seeing (and smelling) that, and after seeing this monsterous black cloud (literally black) looming over that plant, it really put into perspective just how horrible petrol is. But I've been writing Chuck Shumer and that jack*** Hillary Clinton for years, and my congressmen too, and unfortunately it's all I can do Unless I go all Carlos the Jackal and hold up Opec lol. I'm joking by the way!
