Create your own 3D bowling alley, you might like this one! Do expect little errors, Demo isn't a Full Demo. It is work in progress!

screenshots? You need to include screenshots in your posts, if you can't have screenshots, it shouldn't be a WIP.

Question:

Why, after I enter in all the names, does it show them to me? I can see them anyway right there on the screen!

And also, I put something like 4474672 for lanes, when is says max 2000... hmmm..

[edit]

But dude.. seriously, get a grip. Noone is going to pay $49.99 for this, *especially* his early on in progress.

Also, you may have a hard time with all the features you promise to put in it. i.e. Online play - check out the online commands, and examples, see how easy they look. - Bowling mode - you any good at physics? These are very important, and collision is even more important, do a search in the dbc forum on collision, and you will find out how hard it is to get it done.

As I said, it's good to try, but it's ridiculous to come only this far with a game, and already offer to sell it for such an insane amount of money!

Who says people can't bowl in this game!

lol, your website is hilarious and not in a good way. The description sounds like it was made by a 10 year old, nobody is going to "rate" this game, you have no screenshots, you can't show us anything and you expect it to be out August '06. Oh, and then you want us to pay you 50$ for something that doesn't even exist yet, and if it ever does, will be worth $5-$10 max. Look at games like Firewall, those are $40-$50 games.

Allow me to hijack this thread:

Pincho, I see you changed your banner to incorporate the latest greatest from your upcoming project. Looking good!

Now maybe we can let this thread die...

@Alvarus-

Your hijacking was a bit odd, but it gets at the right thing. Our points have been made, and there is simply nothing more to be added to this ridiculousness. It should die.

1. Post no more "games", until you have enough skills to actually make a worthy demo
2. Dont quit your day job(unless its game programming)
3. Don't drink and drive
4. Remember rules 1,2 and 3

Guys, this is getting old. Mike, what happened to locking this thread?

Edit:
Jordan Stories Games, I wish the best for you, and I'm sure we all hope that someday you turn out to be an uber awesome programmer. Keep working on your games, follow some tutorials, and when you have something you can really be proud of, show it off, and be prepared to give it away for free. Listen to what the other forum users say, and take their suggestions. Keep working on your games, and one day you'll have a killer game in your hands. One last note...awesome games aren't made overnight. The author of the awesome Firewall game spent about 2 years on it. Don't expect people to hand you money unless you've put a lot of sweat, tears, coffee, and blood into your game.

+ $.02

Good performance is better than a good excuse.

lol, sorry to be harsh but if you continue using DBP for a while, you'll (hopefully) realize how simple something like this is to make, and how its not worth a WIP . We're just having fun with you, don't take it personally .

Leave it to Cash to make me feel like an A$$, alright Jordan I am sure you are looking forward to a long career in game making so I apologize for my earlier comments. As a peace offering, since most tycoon games are isometric 2d I made a tile piece you can use for your game if you want.

I am just joking a little with you jordan but man! comon rethink what you are doing! You are going to need alot more work on that that game (about 4000 more lines of code) to make that game come even near the price you wish to sell it for, and it takes a good many years of learning to make great games so keep going.

If you make a reasonably good game that is very addictive and sell it for a low price such as $5 you will probably get more money than making one super game (or not so super) and selling it for that ridiculous price!!!

Also, people will respect you more than if you act like a complete n00b all the time

There are three types of people, those that can count and those that can't.

Very nice.

Hobgoblin Lord - that's a cool image.

JSG,

How do you know it'll be August, I think, if this is your first real game, and you're that determined to make it good, you shouldn't worry/care about deadlines, just make it and build it up as much as you can (and every now and again scrap all the code and remake it (trust me, it really cleans everything up, and it doesn't take long to get back to the stage you were at)), then, when it's finished, release it - not sell it, just release it, if people get your first game for free, it'll give them a good idea of what they're gonna buy the next time, so make sure it's good

True, but sometimes setting a goal like a certain date can keep you focused on a project before you do like I do and have 4-5 in the works with one main and others that can distract you.

yeah, I didn't mean to make you mad JSG, sorry I came across as a bit harsh, and making fun of you . Good luck making games, but take it nice and slow, don't sell a simple game that you made in a matter of months for the same price that professionals sell their games for after years of developement with a developement team, noone will buy it .
