That really... doesn't make sense

To append one file to the end of another...
Open up Command Prompt (Run >> cmd), and type "help copy", then follow the instructions for the copy command

ahh that won't work
what I need now is something that i can batch out to replace some bytes in a file, will probably just make that myself...

Are they the same file, but different versions? If so, you need to merge them. There's a multitude of merging programs (usually inside source control programs) but I've never used one. Far too scary to me - merging source files (and 'diff'-ing them) is not something I've ever had to do.

What is it your exactly needing (detailed description please). I've loaded up and edited files in memory so many times I probably have some reusable source code on my drive here that you can use. Or if it's simple enough I'll just custom code an application for you.

nah should've edited my post

I figured it out, I just need to add a signature to the beginning of a file so I decided to try using XVI32's scripting thing(and its batchable so it runs with every compile ) and well it works perfectly for me so...
