A few people have had chips installed into their brains, and they can now move a cursor around the screen. This cursor can then select external devices to control artificial arms, and things. Really anything could be controlled this way, and all you have to do is think about what you want to do.

This apply to FPS games?

I can just image the aimbot accusations now.

"Hey, you focused your mind on my head to get those headshots! That's hax!!!"

Looking cool either way.

mmm, ya ha..

and later we will be able to connect to the internet using this chip
see, so hackers will hack other peoples minds with their mind.

allthough that would suck, it would be cool to move objects connected to a network, like "hand me that cup will ya? oh wait.. *bzzzt*" the cup moves into the hand.

pretty interesting though, but i don't believe this until i see it with my own eyes. (videos does not count, unless somebody i trust was there filming .^^)

would be horrible if someone hacked your mind and could hear everything you thought

also, what I would really like to see is something that can "export" an image from your mind, like you know how your like "well it looked kindof like ummm" well just be able to show it on a monitor would be freaking awesome

but suddenly you started thinking about how hot a person was, preferably a female, and started taking her clothes off and laughting quietly for yourself then suddenly remember that everyone else was watching this on the monitor.

No really, if this thing ever became officially released i would never get one. even if my life depended on it.

I have monkey mind, so this would not work for me. I can't, for the life of me, *not* think of something when I try not to. When I close my eyes my brain goes into overdrive.

I watched a program on this, You have what looks like a garden sprinkler popping out of the top of your head. At the moment the translation is pretty slow but bound to get better.

LOL FPS cheats galore. Drinking coca cola or eat candy, whatever it takes to over-stimulate the brain and make you suckers lag

Too abstract. The closest to that I can imagine is making a movie/photo out of your imagination.

It's at a very high standard now. It has been on the news in the UK all week. A disabled man was using a robot arm controlled by his mind. It was a lot like the episode in RED Dwarf where Lister had a robotic arm and was trying to grab a ball. What if you accidentally thought about punching somebody?

even if they become cheap to make I bet it would be extremely exspensive just because of how cool they would be and how much they could jack up the price but people still buy it

Don't you see? This is just bringing us closer and closer to a Matrix-y world where the government keeps us down and happy in our mental prisons! We have to stop this before it starts! Burn the labs! Burn them all!

Ah yes read this in the paper earlier, looking at the picture they had, I think its just the guy telling the other guy to open his email, not brain power, ha I could do that!

@Megaton...*shakes head in disapointment*
