I finaly created my first entity that actualy works in FPS, thanks to Avenging Eagle. I did it with Anim8tor which is totaly free. I
could not of done it without his tutorial video which was posted recently. I did have a hard time finding DBconv.exe which I think you absolutely need. Somebody might want to post it again. Any way I want to try some character editing, however, the program promoted by Gamecreators is $4,000. Not to mention the software it add-ons to. Any ideas all you guru's of the pixel. Thanks guys. Something cheap that works!

well, If you're gonna spend the money, you might as well get a 3d modelling pack... after all, why limit yourself to characters?!

Milkshape or fragmotion are worth a look. and I'm sure the next person to post will give you a whole loada links!

I say milkshape. I am a noob at this modeling stuff,,and with the help of a few on this board,I am already creating some really great stuff,,for my own game as well as for other people.

Just take the time it takes to learn it well, thats my advice with ANY program. Try ALL of the demos you can get and choose one that suites your capabilities.

stamina is so right...

And if you do get into it, bear in mind that it's very hard! You have to practice and read a lot, and will probably occasionally want to throw your keyboard into your screen.

Too late Butter,,on my 2nd screen now...lol.

He is right though. I almost gave up until I got some good advice from Disturbing13. Patience is definatly a virtue with these tools, and I found at 40, I still had to breath deep and not destroy everything on my desk....lol

CRAP, I said my age. Now all you kids can laugh at the old man playing around with game tools..lol
