hi, i found to much content furnature and lots of enemys slowed my games down, i will admit i was putting to much stuff that didnt really need to be in game,
try using less furnature, and as other posts i have read say, chop your levels up (instead of making a massive level chop/break up level and make 2 or 3 smaller levels + will also cut down on the loading times too).
i am new to fpsc to, best tip i can give mess about a little and you soon see the balance between entitys and map size.

good luck

As FPSNUT stated you need to use proportion. It is still debatable and practically impossible to stomp out all Frame rate issues but there are a few things you can do, such as:

Do not bog your level down with dynamic entities (enamies and user interaction type items) if an item does not need to be moved set it as a static entity. Break large levels down in to smaller levels (Like FPSNUT stated) You can also remove any unwanted scripts from the entities. example if it is a static entity you probably do not need the destroy script. What I have just told you is not all enclusive but is a good way to get you thinking of the possibilities of curbing your fps issues. You should search the forums as well there is a pool of knowledge floating around here.

Lower the range that things are active (i dunno how off the top of my head but it CAN be done). and make anything that doesnt need to be moved or changed static. what happens is too many dynamic objects lags the... er... stuffing out of it. it has to keep them all going and stuff. so yeah. make em static, or, as reality and FPSnut said, remove them all together.
