I haven't got a name for my upcoming game, but I can fill you in on some details.

I'm going for a hotel-horror kind of game. The game is VERY early in development at the moment, and I plan on somewhere around 15-20 levels. Sometime within the next month will try to get a demo out to you guys.

I uploaded a screenshot so you could see what I'm going for. I realize that it looks boring, but I just wanted you to get the genral idea.

Pretty nice but in my opinion too dark. When does people learn that game hasn't got to be made of long dark corridors to be scary? Oh, and you could tone down that white light, it is too bright.

Good luck with your project!

Well...actually I did try the level with more lights in it. It wasn't scary, but I'll try to lighten it up a bit. Thanks for your feedback!

This is a picture of the first hallway with one light added. I think it really did help. Thanks Nigezu!

It looks nice.

great use of stuck media.

But try to think about how the game will actually be when you play... You're gonna need some things in the middle of that bedroom, and in the corridoor for the player hide behind.

Keep at it though.

Peace

Hey guys, an update is in order.

Well I started working on the second level yesterday, but I'm still not finished with the first one. I've decided it will take place in WW2, but with a kind of Castle Wolfenstein-like twist to it.

I'm taking requests for things you'd like to see and suggestions on things I should change once I release more screenshots.

Development's been pretty slow lately. I've made a little more progress on the second level, I'll try and release some more screenshots in the next few days.

Like the latest pic. Thou the room seems to be quite bit too big, don't you think? And same thing about the lighting "too dark" eats the pleasure of playing.

For name suggession I'd say use something classic hotel name like Hotel Overlook from The Shining or such (I'd prefer to come up the name from your mind but think something classic, it works.)

I love the Shining...and to tell you the truth, that's why I started making the level in the first place.

"My experience of TravelLodge" would be a good name
Anyhow, good work!

Progress is really really slow at the moment. Trying to test out the map takes forever...I mean like an hour to load.

I would, but that's the room that you start out in, and you don't have a gun yet.

Nope, I checked it and for some reason it went to 50, but whenever I turn it down, it goes back to 50 after I close it out.

If you change ambience and press OK it doesn't work sometimes. After changing ambience click something else (for example ambience green) and then click OK. Then it should work.

Thanks! That worked. I'm really busy at the moment, I've gotten to work on the game a little more in the past few days.

I've just found this new program that lets me create those point n' click adventure games, and I'm obsessed with it at the moment, so progress isn't too rapid right now, but I will finish this game. Definately not this year though.
