Hey guys, I don't post much here but I wasn't sure where this should go.

Anyway, I was wondering if there's a way to convert and avi video files into seperate images all into a single folder. I googled it a few different way but didn't come up with much, as I am not sure exactly how to search for such a thing If anyone could help me I'd be greatly appreciative.

[EDIT] I just noticed it says Vido instead of video in the heading. Doh!

I just found some code for VB which allows you to add a watermark to an Avi. And if you don't save the avi then the temporary directory has all the frames saved to jpg files. Ok so currently it plonks a default watermark, and is slightly rough around the edges, but shouldn't be too hard to have an "Only extract images" option with perhaps a jpg or bmp (to make sure colours are correct I suppose) option.

If you want it I can modify the code slightly and post the compiled program to you. Or just attach it here if small enough.

Cheers

I am 99% probably lying in bed right now... so don't blame me for crappy typing

alt print screen as the cheapest hack.

os x quicktime pro allows for this out of the box.

there are many ways to take snapshots with many programs.
