A surgeon. In case you're wondering who the handsome guy is under the scrubs - it's me! Here's your chance to have bond1 in your very own game!

Super low-poly, 1000 tri's. I could get away with a very low poly head because of the mask and cap. A little detail I'm proud of: the gloves, textured entirely in photoshop. Hint: inner glow with a large setting gave a nice translucent effect, then touched up with dodge and burn.

Yes I'll make a bloody version, probably a zombie.

Ahh, unfortunately no. No normal maps, but the texture maps are 1024x1024, so there're plenty of texture detail. I don't think you'll miss the normal maps too much for these though. Even though they're low poly, I put 'em where it counts. No blockiness to be seen.

I'm looking at this for the first time on my desktop monitor, and the skin looks a little pink to me, I might have to adjust the hue a bit. My laptop monitor's colors always look different...frustrating.

Wow bond, thats great! When modeling with a cylinder, do start with the torso and extrude, or make other cylinders for the arms and legs? If you do separate cylinders, how do you connect them to the torso? Thanx, and great job again! BTW, I also liked your bikini babe, great job on her aswell!

Well, I don't think I've modelled a character the exact same way twice. But there are certain procedures I always follow.

I start with a cylinder for the torso and get the shape. Then I use a separate cylinder for one of the legs. From here I'll either use the symmetry modifier to build the other leg, or copy and mirror the leg and attach them together. To attach the legs to the torso, I'll either use the bridge function, or I'll target weld verts, which is probably the more elegant way of doing things. Same deal for the arms, only I almost always use bridge to attach them to the torso, it makes an almost perfect shoulder joint, I just have to move some verts around to get a nice flow going.

ive always hated UV mapping arms that are at that angle, which is why i sometimes do it at 90 degrees, but that rips the shoulders sometimes if your not careful, do you map the seperate pieces (arms, torso, legs) before you weld them together?

I always UV map after the model is compeltely done. Now, I ALWAYS try and create the model in a relaxed reference pose, very close to the .fig file. It helps tremendously when rigging, and you avoid the "square shoulder" effect that can happen when a model is rigged in a standard t-pose. Shoulders just deform SO much better when the base mesh in a more natural relaxed pose.

Sometimes my UV map will contain the torse and arms as one piece, which is how I usually do it now, it just helps me avoid seams at the shoulder. In fact for my hazmat model, the entire front of the character was UV mapped as one piece. Basically front and back UV mapping, although the boots were separate.

Yes excellent work once again....But I tend to agree with you in the skin is a lil pinkish. Maybe if the model got outside more he'd have a more bronze tone

Well, yeah, I suppose that's true. But I doubt that I could tell much difference in detail whether I used 80% of the space or 95%. Not anything I would lose sleep over anyway. And I can definitely crank out stuff faster having less seams to deal with. But yuo're absolutely right, the "correct" way would be to utilize every single pixel...

This pack is still probably about 3-4 weeks away from release, if all goes to plan (no real life catastrophes).

I would still very much like to do some new animations for these characters, a new zombie biped to be exact...

Yep you sure can. In fact some of the ww2 characters for FPSC are textured from there.

You just can't sell the pics in their original, unmodified form, obviously.

I seriously can't remember what I signed up for. I THINK I did a one year memebreship. Anyway, the site is great for modelling reference, lots of different body types, and a very generous licensing agreement. And I remember browsing the site and saying "hey, that dude is from FPSC!"
