Is there a way to make the death of an enemy trigger another event like flipping a switch or opening a door?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the destroyandactivate script should do it, but that is just on the basis of it's name. I've never used the script or even looked at it, but it's worth a shot, right?

You don't have to be insane to answer my questions, but it helps

I've tried that script and had a problem. It doesn't allow one a choice as to what should be activated. I must be missing something, but I can't seem to get it.

Sure you can. go to the entity and type in the name of the thing under "if used".

Thank you for your kind reply. I've tried what you suggested but,I still must be doing something wrong. What I want to do is kill an enemy and have a door open that can't be opened any other way. Any suggestions?

Use a remote door, but the used thingy on the entities name and the entities if used to the doors name?

Would you mind clarifying the last response? I tried reversing the names, which is what I think you mean but no luck.

Place "remote door". In the part that ISNT "if used", type in "bob". Make an entity. name it "bob". in its "if used" property, put "remote_door_a", or whatever your door is named. that should do it.

Hope you get an answer. This is a common thing in most fps games...kill some enemey then a door opens allowing progression. What about, say 5 enemies?
