I have been programing in Qbasic eversence I was 7 (I'm now 16). So the swich to DarkBasic was easy. I am now working on a new game called InfiniteSpace, which is a free space game that involves space trade and combat. I currently have Paint Shop Pro 7 and 3dsMax 4 so texture creation and model/level making can all be done by me.

I just have one question... Is it possible to make a game that will allow the player to exit his ship and walk around AND fly his ship?

Absolutely, only thing is it'd take a lot more coding then doing 'just' one mode.

Of course it's possible, but the extra amount of coding required would be determined by how much freedom you would have on the ground. If it's just running around the surface, then only a handful of code will be needed.

However, if you want to be able to go and watch a film, or go down the pub, get drunk and steal a traffic cone, then you'd almost be programming two games at once...
