Every once in a while i get this message when i test my game RUNTIME ERROR: SEVERE EXCEPTION! Does any one know what this means? This seems to happen only when im sure something will work. It says there is is something wrong with the line (or lines) where i put the loading of the images. This is really annoying me, does anyone have a solution? (it sometimes goes away when i tinker with my coding a bit)

I always have that error with mipmapping. It just occassionally gives me an error with the command:

set object texture 1,0,1

Maybe you use the same thing??

I have the error if my sound card (stupid @#$% thing!) gives it up and don't gives any sound... If I fixed the sound card, the game does OK... Maybe your monitor/graphic card can't handle the bitmap?

If good programmer()=1 then print "Finaly I get to the top "

kfoong, show us all the exact code you run which generates the error, then we can help you.

This as far as I can tell can happen with any command. The quickest fix I found is to copy the line (ctrl+C), save the source under a new name, then paste the line back in. Happens to me most often with the select command, but it's happened to arrays and such too.

There may be other ways but it happens so rarely and I can't make it happen deliberately yet.
May have something to do with the way db compiles

ZX Spectrum 48k Issue 3, Radio shack Tape drive, Rank arena 12" T.V. set.
