I've created some cool scripts to add Laser-like blocking of areas in my games. Check out my video and let me know what you think.

Nue B. or not Nue B. That is the question.

Lets see an in game screen shot please so that users can decide if they wish to download.

This I moved from the Showcase forum as it does not meet with that forums requirements.

When i watched it all i saw was a instant death zone being activated, but it's still pretty neat. What is it, a trip wire?

Quite realistc lasers can be made using a decal as shown here :

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/xt/xt_apollo_pic.php?i=722804

Your entity script can use commands to kill or just reduce health as needed and in such instance no zones are needed.

Not sure that I ever posted a vid of the lasers but they can look good and work very well.

As a decal and not using zones they can can be placed at any tile height so that a player has to jump over them or duck under them as only the actual visible image in a decal provides contact with the player - the invisible parts are ignored by the engine for collision purposes - making them ideal for the need in the light of us not having true particle beams.

pretty decent idea, this will be usefull for any stealth or spy games, having to dodge lasers. i've thought of something though: why not have some of them moving along a waypoint? that way it will be harder to dodge. also, why not have some different colour beams as well, that trip an alarm and spawn some enemies?
