Did you make them .wav? If so, that's odd.

If not, make it a wav. Use Audacity, it's great.

How are you trying to use the music?

I figured out what the problem was! Audacity was reading the Windows Media files wrong so it beeped on audacity and in the file, so FPSC read it as a buzz

Also Audacity works much better on my laptop which is a iBook G4 (Apple/Mac)

I would use expstudio because it allows you to easly edit other effects like volume. i had i problem where the music was to quiet. and
volume is important with gaming music.
its also free

Thats what im doing now anyway,n every sound, synth ive put on has worked. If anyone needs any music hit me up, im a drum and bass producer of 3 n half years, ill gladly write u some stuff.

Metallica has a habit of suing people who use their music without their permission.
One of the reasons that Metallica fell from greatness and are now just another band is they sued their own fans.
Wait...somebody gave me money...I think I will turn around and sue them...
Other reasons are the last few Metallica albums...which suck.
But that is just my opinion about the last few Metallica albums.
It is a fact, however, that Metallica will sue you.

File Format...
Get Audacity and then use the OGG format for Music.

Metallica...
Again I am in total agreement with Fred. Metallica does suck.
Unless I am mistaken, Metallica was the first band to go after Napster.
I really like the South Park episode "Faith+1".
If you haven't seen it, then you should because it is hilarious.
That episode pokes fun of the whole 'plagarism of the music industry' thing.

Eric Cartman Rocks!

I use OGG. WAV files are too large, and OGG files are almost as small as MP3s.

How do you get the music to loop, though?

When you place the music/sound in a sound/trigger zone, change the main script from soundinzone.fpi to soundloopinzone.fpi.

This will make it loop forever until you walk out of the zone.

I use Music Maker to convert MY songs into .wav. I write my own songs for FPSC. You might find some older versions of Music Maker in the bargain bin. I think you can go back as far as 2004 if you want to work out some good sampling.

Benjamin posted a thread on how to add music for the entire level. Place triggerzone on player start marker. Use repeatsound.fpi on the triggerzone. Now comes the tricky part which took me quite a bit of testing; and Benjamin did mention it. Open Build Game, under Level Settings, go to Global Script and erase the line behind MUSIC (leave it blank) or if you want only one song in your whole game, add your song in that line.

Uh huh...thank you very much..
