Howdy, y'all.

I feel incredibly stupid asking, but I can't figure this out. I'm building a simple one level shooter, just to get a feel for the FPSC, and I have it set up. A few baddies, a selection of weapons throughout, and a locked door that needs a key. Behind the door is the win zone. I have my key placed.

I did a search, as I've seen so many in need be told to do so, and tried a few things I found. I set the WinZone in front of the door, and set the key IsObjective to 2. That didn't work, all it did was make it so the game would win when I pick it up. I tried playing with the scripts. I set the door's script, one of the scripts it came with, to doorkey.fpi.

Is there another script that has to be added to the door or key to make the combination work?

I think you mean how to open the locked door when you pick up the key. Ok.

Right click on your key then give it a name. Key1. Theres also another input box 'ifused'. Name that 'door1'

Now right click on the door model and give the door the name, 'door1'.

You should now be able to unlock the locked door when you pick up that key1. If you need any ore help then post back.

Then if you want it to win after you open the door, put the win zone on the other side of the door! presto.

OK. I've got my level running smoothly now.

How about some better looking AI for the bad guys? Are there some specific scripts you can point out to me, or are there settings I can tweak like for the door and key?
