Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know I'm going to be going to Europe for 2 and a half weeks. I am going to Germany, flying in at Frankfurt, and staying there for a few days, then moving down to the Garmisch area. I would like to ask you if there are any places that I should go check out? I know we are going to travel down to paris or londen (really want to come down to the UK). But, do any of you have any suggestions on places to go site seeing, etc?
Thanks---Torsten

I'm going to Germany in two weeks too
I'm actually from a town just south of Frankfurt (Langen) and know the area pretty well - you should find loads to do in Frankfurt. The swimming pool in Frankfurt is very nice too lol

Stay away from that crazy german kid who beats up keyboards when UT doesn't load fast enough.

BTW, for anyone who does not speak german, a new subtitled version of that is out. Warning: the following link contains explicit language and computer violence. Viewer discretion is advised.

when i saw that about 7-8 months ago (whenever it first started to circulate) I didn't understand quite as much as this time .

Oh and by far the best line is around 4:30

"ich brauche keine Hilfe! ich brauche keine Hilfe!!!!"

haha saying "I dont need help"

apparently the help and support box popped up , I was thinking "Oh yes you do son... oh yes you do"

Almost over. What a miserable trip... I spent time with my 4 year old cousin and his mom, his dad is away in Iraq, but it was just horribal. He abuses his cat and dog, and pretends not to understand what me mean when we tell him not too. Too much togetherness in general, made it a trip not worth while.....

i just got back from europe. i got a railway ticket that covers 2 zones for 3 weeks for just £205. meant that i was free to travel around france, germany, belgium, holland, switzerland, austria, luxembourg, denmark and also got a 50% reduction on getting trains and channel tunnel out of the UK (would have also covered plane/boat if i chose those methods).

considering the first leg of my journey would have cost £300 alone, i recommend this to anyone.

first i got eurostar to paris, then paris to spiez (near interlaken), switzerland, to visit my uncle. i then used the pass to travel freely around the country, also crossing into northern italy without charge too. because all the transport in switzerland is ran by a single company i was also able to go by boat or bus anywhere for free too, and got reductions on cablecar/mountain rail.

photos

after a week of staying at my uncles i got train to paris then south to bayonne (nr biarritz, almost spanish border, coastal town (surf capital)) to stay with my dad. during this time there was a festival in the town, so i had some friends fly over for about a week (flights almost costing as much as my railway pass), and then after they went home i stayed in france for a few more days with my dad, before getting eurostar home. i was due to tour europe for a bit, was due to meet some forum-goers who lived at one of the towns the train home went through but i just didnt have to time to stop by and say hello . was also due for a lan pary in holland but that never happened either.

edit: link thingy appears to be bugged >.<
