I JUST GOT THE PACIFISM ACHIEVEMENT! Lasting 60 seconds without firing your weapon!

Geometry Wars - Retro Evolved is perhaps the most mesmerizing, fast-paced, and addictive game you can play for under 5 minutes. And it costs under $7 CDN.

What are some of the high scores here? I see that Dot Merix has in the 400,000 range, which is the highest on my friends list.

I *almost* got the "Score 100,000 on the first life" achievement but died at 98,000. My highest score is around 185,000, which is quite small considering some people get about 3,000,000-5,000,000 every time they play.

Anyways, the thing I like about this game is that although it looks so crazy, there are always strategies you can discover to help you improve.

And it's the ONLY game I enjoy watching others play almost as much as playing myself. We also have it on a 360 at work and between that and Fight Night Round 3, there are always large crowds wanting to play.

*drools*

I think my high score is around 393.000. I got the Survive 100.000 award, the Pacifism award and a few others. Very fun and addicting game. By far the best on Xbox Live Arcade. Well, maybe except for Marble Blast Ultra...

Jeku, glad your enjoying the game.

Yeah, that game is loads of fun.. I just cant seem to get the bloody 1 million achievement.. i've watched video's of guys doing way more than that and it simply amazes me.... Perhaps one day.

Btw, just so you know... I do have my achievement for achieving a score above 500,000 if you take a look

Btw Jeku, how's BFME 2, noticed you have a couple achivements done for it.

That game is excellent too, and very challenging to get all of the achievements. It was my first Live Arcade purchase

That's cool--- how did you do that? I see your score is just under 500,000

I quite enjoy it actually. I understand that EA spent something like 5 years researching RTS controls for a console, as nobody has ever done a good job of one, so they REALLY got the controls down perfectly. Life has been fairly busy lately so I've only been able to play through a level or two, but it's very cool so far.

My only gripe is the framerate slows down quite a bit during the large battles. This is understandable as I've heard even the PC version chugs if you have a powerful computer.

I'm not quite sure why that happened.. My only conclusion would be that i played geometry wars offline when i achieved that score, and the score didnt update online because of that but simply acknowledged my achievement..

I rarely play geometry wars with my console online, in any case... I'll do it shortly just to have that stat up there as i've gotten over 500,000 a few times now.

I heard about the frame rate issues with the game, as long as it's not terrible i guess.. Glad to hear you're liking it, i may have to pick that one up soon.

Do you mean on the demo? or the full version... because if u mean on the full version that could be a bit annoying.

You can actualy get a pc version... but its no where near as good. Its called Grid Wars, if you google it im sure you'l find it.
