Alright, well,I've been collecting some useful models lately. Now, I go to put them on a cd,cuz I've had my computer crash a lot and delete stuff in the past. Come to find out,my E: drive can't recognize cds anymore! I know my brother was playing a game off of it rather than the D: drive, but I don't think thats dagerous. I tried the command prompt chkdsk/f but I don't think I did that right or something. Can anyone try to help me,I can just feel crash coming on(well, actually I doubt one will happen in a long time, but oh well).

was the cd rom drive letter originally D:, and now is E:?

I have seen this happen when connecting devices to the pc like cameras or usb thumb drives etc, windows doesnt revert the letters back. Have you tried removing the cdrom from control panel and rebooting the machine?, or at least change the drive letter in the os?
