I finally made a chracter but he shoots backward :/ plz help, because I put alot of work into his skin, it's a .dds, i packaged it up with a a .x file of a german model, renamed cop.x, then i put it in entitny maker and i tried and he looked exactly the other way and shot me. But i tried giving him an effect but he didn't really like that idea I guess so he decide not to load his texture. Help plz, I'm very close to succeeding in this now and i would like for it to work.

It was hard to catch the part when he shot me because it's so quick.

Looks like he needs actually rotating around in the modeller or whatever you used to make him.

I presume He's facing the wrong way.

Rotate him before saving as a FPSC ready .x file model.

That should fix it.

;orientation
model = aiko.x
offx = 0
offy = 0
offz = 0
rotx = 0
roty = 180
rotz = 0
scale = 80
fixnewy = 180

Try changing that bold section in the fpe to 180. Never seen someones char come out and shoot backwards before. Dose his bend his knees correctly? I mean unless you rigged him backwards I can't see it shooting backwards. But try the rotation and let us know.

Sometimes this happens with the wrong export settings in milkshape.

Well then you'd know much more then me. 3dmax never dose that to a char. I'd have to rig it backwards to get it to come out like that...Would changing rotation help him then? I know he can redo it in his modeler. Just curious if this would work as well...kinda a quick fix. Might wanna post a link or tell this guy the right settings if you know them. Never seen anyone ask this question before so it may not be documented here in these forums.

Kinda funny though

Why dont you guy just use the officer the way you want and replace the texture via the editor itself by right clicking on it. It will save you allot of headache unless the model's uv map was moved completely.

when i try changing the texture or putting in a custom texture he goes white, so only way to see the texture is to remove the effect which makes him backwards.

Sigh , Place the officer in the level, NOT the custom one, the default FPSC stock media one. Rightclick that officer and look for "Texture". click the entry next to it and search for your custom texture. Choose it, then press the 'Apply Changes' button. Test your game. I can't make it any clearer.
