This is stopping me from making good textures. How do i crop images so only my object will show.

e.g: I have a picture of a banana, with an unwanted background. how can i crop the image, so there is only the banana, with no background?

Can i do this with microsoft picture it 9? I seemed to be able to do it with 8, but i cant see the selection in 9.

please help

Allot of people use a prgram called GIMP. I belive it's free. I know somewhere Keith has a listing of free programs. Maybe he'll chime in and direct you to them. I realize learning something new sucks but the more you work with software that the rest of the community dose the easier it's going to be to get help.

Side note: Keith(or any mod really) I'd make a sticky for free software thats TGC(meaning DBP/FPSC) compatable.

Supah Gamer,

Not sure for what kind of object you want the Banana Type cut out effect.

You need have an transparent alpha channel in the image for those areas you dont want to see.
