to rpgamer if you read or anyone with knowledge of the situation when you have different textures on the matrix say matrix tile 15,8 has a texture and 15,9 has adifferent one they dont have a realistic look because of the way it just goes from one to another so sharply can you blend them like a grass texture blending into the dirt one next to it.(using dark basic)thanks.

Draw an intermediate tile texture which has a realistic blend for the given angle. Sorry, I'm not RPGamer

You can't solve it in DB, you have to make textures which go smoothly from one to anothe one.

Look at -Caverun- demo to see what I mean.

Yes, I have this problem too
I have photoshop which should and probably can be able to blend two textures together ie. grass on one side which blends into sand on the other side (Or anything like that) - but how can this be done?

Here is an example of what I'm trying to achieve:

Example above from the eternal destiny website
note how the grass in the distance blends into the sand...

thanks
Robin

I made this a while ago. I used it for my landscape demo.

It makes all the possible transitions for 2 textures. (They must be square and the same size though). But it works ok.

But uhhhhh, you should actually use Vantrans, because it is made for something like that, I think.

You load up the two textures you want to blend, and one of the greyscale images, and then you click generate and it will make all them. Email VanB im sure he will help.

You have to make them the same size as the vantrans textures. 68*68 I think, not sure though you would have to check the sand and snow and see what size they are and size yours the same.
