In the post heading "noob's are idiots" , I noticed that several moderators were taking part in a thread, that I feel was probobly beneficial to anyone new joining this board. Then uman (another moderator) came in and locked it because it was offensive.

I kind of find that to be a little bit off base, just my personal opinion. I mean sure, the name of the post probobly could have been better worded so it didnt "hurt someones feelings" because we live in a world of (pc), but the content of the thread was something that I think every new person joining the messageboards should not only read, but take to heart.

Sure, we dont have to answer requests heck, we dont even have to read them, but I feel that discussing the issues within a group can only better the end result.

So my question is basically, why is it that several moderators found the post worth participating in and leave the thread open, and 1 moderators opinion of it over-rule that of all the others in the discussion?

Calling or Referring to or any Individual or Group as "Idiot" which is an inflamatory and offensive term in my opinion is not allowed as I interpret the AUP and that is not debatable.

How other Moderators interpret the AUP is a matter for them to decide.
