The conversation script is as easy as eating a pie. Provided you're able to eat a pie easily, that is.

I don't really need to space out the code for you. All you have to do is make .tga images of the text you want to appear, and insert them where the sample .tga's are.

Now I have a question for you. Why do so many people call FPSC "the game" and make their names the question they're asking?

A .TGA image is just a type of image format(like a .JPG) that FPSC can use. It doesn't strictly have to be .TGA, it can be .PNG, .DDS and .BMP, I think.

I don't think you quite understand.

You can't just type in text into the FPIs and have it show that text. All of the text that shows up as default are all images, not text.

You have to make your own .tga's using something that makes them, like Photoshop (if you've got deep pockets) or The Gimp (I think...). If not, you can just make it a transparent image (if possible, otherwise you'll have a white background around the text), in something like a .png, and then convert it to .dds or .tga (it doesn't really matter) for use in FPSC.

You'll have to read Benjamin's thread on conversation scripts (use the search at the bottom of the page), which will basically explain all of your other questions for you--I'd assume that, anyway.

I originally thought you could, but MS Paint's PNG does NOT save transparently. PNG's will naturally be transparent with photoshop (or rather easily).

PNG's are transparent because they naturally can ignore pixels resulting in transparancy.

TGA's use an alpha channel and translate black as clear

Mabey the game will translate the black, but that wasn't what % ment

I'm wondering why no one has told you to read the manual! It's all there. De-De Dee!

Nue B. or not Nue B. That is the question.

Not to be snippy but Nue B is right. Please read the manual.
Not only will it save you lots of time and heartache (as well as avoid the occassioanl flaming) but you cannot get the full potential out of FPSC unless you read it.
Also, there are some things such as the explanation of waypoints,a list of scripting commands and instructions on how to build your game that you will need to know.
