Gesshoku was kind enough to take on teaching me DBP. He started writing a tutorial, but then he went on vacation, he said he was only going to be one week. Three weeks later I send a polite reminder and this was the reply I received: (Name have been removed)

Quote: "
Ninja Bunny,

I am not quite sure who you are, but I am Gesshoku's father. I hate to tell you this, but Gesshoku is no longer with us. There was a pretty bad car accident, and he spent quite some time on life support before we decided to let him go, he requested for us to contact his friends in any event similar to this, but I didn't know you were one of his contacts, sorry for not letting you know sooner. Just so you know, this email address will no longer be checked after sunday, and no more emails will be responded to. Thanks for supporting our Gesshoku.

Humbly,
Gesshoku's Father"

I was shocked when I read the email. When I met him he was so enthusiastic about life, and his job. So please do think of him.

I am looking for help to learn DarkBASIC pro. If you wish to help please let me know and I will add you to mu MSN, Thanks!

I'm not sure if I remember him, but that's too bad. My sympathy goes to his family.

Good performance is better than a good excuse.

I didn't really know him either, but I hope whoever did can learn to live without him.

Can't say I remember him, but I'm sorry to hear about it. How does his father know his son's e-mail password? I guess it's smart to let someone you trust know it in case of events like this. Anyway, sorry for the loss of your friend. Hopefully you'll take the things he tought you and you'll do something positive with it, like make a game that he would have liked.

That is truely horrible. You have to wonder if we are better off with all this technology now-a-days. Yes medical research has produced wonders, but it is also responsible for the genisis of worse strands. Every step we take forward can send us further back.

You have to wonder, if it is really worth it. There is no point having the technology to commune at great speeds if others will abuse it, and further more, do so recklessly. It is in my personal oppinion that greater control over cars and the people driving them.

Furthermore, in situations like this the other party should be charged with vehicular homicide with no possibility for bargin. I mean the guy killed someone and the state would probally rather reduce the sentence to spare the time and money for a trial.

There is a car accident every the statistic in all 4 examples are too extreme, the sensless loss of life due to an ill controlled system, it is simply horrendous.

@Merranvo - You have no idea how the accident happened, and whether speed was even a factor. Go somewhere else if you have a rant.

Merranvo, I had a really bad car accident a while back. I asked a nurse if she could turn off this obnoxious beeping sound, and she said no. I said "you spend millions on this techno-crap and it doesn't have a mute button?" Her reply: "If you had this accident 30 years ago, before we had this 'techno-crap,' you wouldn't be alive to listen to the beeping sound." So yes, technology can save lives and it can help a lot of people. Seriously, this is not the time nor the place for comments like that.

Merranvo, do you understand what death is? Because someone just died I didn't know him. But Ninja asked you to remember him for a minute.

Sorry, locking this.

We can not surmise the details of this, we don't even know how genuine it is - so it's locked before someone posts something regretable.
