No, DB does not run on Linux.

And, no, you can't run it under Wine (although it has been done under limited tests).

Wow, linux rocks, amazing. I use Debian Sarge, Mandriva, SuSe (for 3d enviroment testing, its much more stable), CentOS, No ubuntu, gnome interfaces, or slaxware here. ALl of that is heresy

edit: Good thing you dont hate windows, because personally, I think that if you hate it you are a retard. Especially if you run it.

I actually think that Vista sounds like it might be cool.

I tried a slax live cd and it was pretty cool. when you start up the desktop "startxfce4" its like a cross between windows and mac, it had an object dock and a taskbar.

kinda got carried away with tux there.......

Did you fit all those on to one computer?? or are those just ones youve had over time?

I think that in general, most of the free software rocks.

Linux is just the kernel, the things that regular user sees are the things that make that "cool" feeling.
For example, KDE/gnome/xfce themed (with XGL? ) and other components of the UI make the woah feeling. When you have all the (free) software in it like firefox, gimp, openoffice... it starts to feel like usefull. And when you see it doesn't crash and runs smooth, you actually start using it, so it's all the free software that rocks!
I bet that most of you wouldn't even notice if all that ran on BSD or other *nix.

Linux and (most) of the free software rocks.

Everyone in my home uses Linux and thinks Linux rocks, my sister can finaly install applications (Synaptic) and play all the cool games (Supertux), surf without worries using 5e PC. Im the only one still with Windows dual boot (DBP), I dont hate windows, plain and simple: it just isn't so advanced, flexible, cool...

My only problem with linux is it's method of driver and software installation. Windows is much easier to customise.

10 reasons why I am the best, ummm, errrr, der, thingie, whatsit, dodawassit, whatsitsname, thingamebob, sqwigglything, and the ability to talk nonsense, while being sure I'm right.

linux isnt always better - infact most of the time it is more complicated, but the only reason i have it installed is because the laptop i use is ancient and cant handle windows that well, and for kernel development

the installation of drivers is a pain and installing software is - thats why i use debian because of its package management, to get new software you just use the package program

yea so you think Linux rocks but you haven't even established an internet connection.

Find a distro you like then rant and rave later... Right now your just sort of being a Linux poser, whch is strange.

I dunno, I'm one of the very few people in the world who thinks XP was a monsterous leap backwards, and that Windows 98 was better, pound-for-pound... but I don't know enough about Linux to really voice my opinion about it. Seems cool, but I assume there's limitations to it.

people say "Go Linux" to "underground" and "unique" in front of people who dont know that they know nothing...

oh well theres always time to actually use Linux instead of just flaunting about how cool you've heard it is.

If your taking apart the kernel. then good luck. I hope it doesn't exlpode on you.

Since th dual boot part is usually within Linux I would reccomend another HDD because if the Kernel goes whack, then your XP partition might belost in the depths of an unfamiliar file system
